in the mix – TV SHOW

In The Mix is an exciting, Fact-Ent show that brings classical, retro, country, jazz, blues and forgotten old time classics to the mainstream. It aims to make old school hits popular to Gen Z’s and Gen Alphas, whilst teaching them a thing or two about good music. Mixing Grime and classical music, the show embarks on testing UK urban music producers in their creativity, tenacity, and music production skills in a highly pressured, fun environment. In the show, music producers are challenged to use two music Genres, that are extreme opposites, to create the next big HIT… a new club banger!

The show will bring various music genres such as Classical music to the forefront, with an aim to make it a must have for young people, and a people that are detached, and have lost interest in the genre.

The show will follow enthusiastic, vibrant Music producers, (from different music genres, Grime, Techno, Rock etc.) as they are put through the challenge of creating a new sound.

In Episode One, our Producer will be from the Grime music world. They will take a new genre of music that they have never worked on, and add on a grime influence into their composition.

As an example, the producer may be put through the ringer and asked to recreate classical compositions such as Mozart’s Turkish March, with grime influence.

The hardest hurdle they must overcome is to break through negative barriers associated with classical music. Their journey in this show and the final music composition must convince the audience that Classical music has a place in their world and the new fusion is a Hit.

The show will follow the producers as they are thrown in at the deep end.
We will see the highs and lows, humorous and exciting side of this creation, finally ending the show with a BANG!

The producer will put on a spectacular performance at the end, to introduce their new composition to the audience and young people!
