Full name Michael Samuel Osei-Akoto, I’m a senior editor who can animate and also an experienced self-shooting development researcher and producer director specializing in crafting engaging branded narratives and factual content for TV, corporate brands, and digital platforms. With a deep understanding of storytelling, pacing, and end-to-end cinematic production techniques, I transform raw footage into engaging, high-quality content that captivates audiences and elevates brand messaging.
I am also the Founder and CEO of Lionhill Studios, where I oversee video content production for brands and businesses. In addition to editing, I have experience in motion design and full-service production as a self shooting producer-director, allowing me to bring a well-rounded creative perspective to every project.
Over the years, I’ve worked with advertising agencies, production companies, and corporate brands, delivering polished, story-driven content that help businesses communicate effectively and connect with their audiences. Whether it’s a commercial campaign, a corporate film, a television format, or branded content for digital platforms, I ensure every project is expertly crafted to achieve its intended impact.
Graduating from the renowned National Film and Television School (NFTS) with a Master of Arts in Directing and Producing Television Entertainment, I’ve built a solid career developing, directing, producing, editing and animating video content for major brands and television networks worldwide. I have experience across broadcast and digital production, with particular strengths in researching and developing original formats across factual entertainment, game shows and multi-camera live magazine shows. I am highly experienced in idea generation, storytelling and creating strong development materials, including treatments, pitch decks, tasters, sizzle reels and pilots. My development work includes researching trends, shaping original programme ideas, writing treatments, storyboarding, planning shoots and filming and editing tasters.
I have filmed and edited television formats from single-camera to multi-camera setups, and my portfolio spans everything from long-form corporate films and TV formats to short-form branded content for social media and commercials.
I pride myself on taking projects from inception through to final delivery, ensuring that every edit enhances storytelling and meets the highest creative standards.
